Say hello to my little friend...

I just thought you all should meet my alarm clock. We have a love/hate relationship... he loves to crow loudly in the mornings and I hate it.

This blog is one of my favorites.

Yeah, I stayed at one of our pastor's houses all the time. He had a rooster who looked just like Foghorn Leghorn from looney toons. He also had the worst biological clock of any living animal. Stupid bird was always cock-a-doodle doing at 1 am, 2 am, or whenever the notion hit him. The memory of it still makes me want to say bad words. Arrrgh. It does make me remember all the animal stories from my time over there, the details of which I will not burden you with. Enjoy Africa!

Katie,
That's how I woke up every morning of my life until I was 7 and moved off the farm. I used to love it and I miss it now! As a matter of fact I also miss the train that went through town, 3 blocks from our house, each morning at 6:30 a.m.
Ah ... the good old days. Now do you undertstand why 5:30 a.m. sounds reasonable to me now?
ML,
Mom

Although at our house, eventually, that little friend became the guest of honor at Sunday dinner!

Your little friend maybe annoying but I am glad it's not a mosque prayer call that's waking you.

oddly enough he does have a snooze mechanism. However, it goes off every two minutes. During the week that is great but come Saturday morning I just wish i could cook him for dinner...
